The active substance is ibuprofen. Ibuprofen belongs to a group of medicines called Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs), which alter how the body responds to pain, swelling, and high temperature. The medicated patch releases ibuprofen locally and continuously at the site of pain for 24 hours after application. Nurofen Musc is indicated for the short-term symptomatic treatment of local pain in acute muscle strains or sprains in benign traumatic injuries near the joints of the upper or lower limbs, in adults and adolescents aged 16 years and older.
